Inter Care Wins the Hearts of Many
On 19th September 2019, John, Diane and Claudia (fundraiser) pack up their Inter Care equipment and head to London to take part in an “once-in-a-lifetime” experience. 10×10 Philanthropy is an amazing event that raises money for smaller charities and connects them with young successful business people.
Inter Care, alongside two other charities, pitched their way to the Dragons’ Hearts (a panel of judges who ask the tough questions) and won over the audience with their stories of making a positive change to people’s lives. Through a presentation, questions from the panel and the audience, and requesting skills from the guests, Inter Care expanded their connections. The charity met some inspiring people who we hope will give a helping hand.
It is a tough challenge to get the Aid to Africa, but now with the help of people working in Pharmaceuticals, Logistics and Publicity, Inter Care hope to expand their work. John, Volunteer of Inter Care said “What a fantastic experience. It was amazing to meet young, bright people and to have the opportunity to spread awareness of what we do”.
Inter Care took home over £3,000 which was raised through pledges, auction and raffle on the evening. The 60 plus guests took the opportunity of voting for Inter Care with their two vouchers worth £30 each to support the charity. It was a fantastic outcome for the team.
Diane Hardy, General Manager of Inter Care said “We cannot thank the organisers of 10×10 enough! We loved every second of it and to walk away with such a large donation is overwhelming. This money will support so many African Lives and gives us the opportunity to support larger projects and send consignments to Africa. Thank you”.
Inter Care are currently developing new strategies to send more Medical Aid to Africa with the goal of keeping transportation costs down. All donations received now will enable the organisation to send more aid and ultimately save more lives.
