A Shipping Container of vital medical aid is on its way to Malawi!

Destined for Nkhamenya Mission Hospital, Northern Malawi

We are very pleased to report our first ever Shipping Container for health units in the Northern Region of Malawi left our Warehouse on Thursday 4th November 2021.

The 20ft container consists of donated health care goods to the value of £122,572 – including much needed PPE (i.e. surgical gloves; face masks; face shields; aprons; coveralls; over shoes; etc.) – which we hope will support the health care workers in Northern Malawi in their fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

The Inter care team loaded ten pallets of medical supplies; mobility aids (i.e. wheelchairs; walking frames; etc.) and around 90 bags of knitted blankets; clothing; children’s toys; etc.

The Container is scheduled to leave Felixstowe on the MSC Melatilde on Thursday 18th November and all being well will arrive in the Port of Nacala, Mozambique in mid-January 2022. From there it will travel overland into Northern Malawi – a journey which will take approximately two to three weeks to complete.

We look forward to updating you on its journey!
