On Wednesday 27th September, Inter Care sent the third shipping container of medical supplies to Sierra Leone – worth £144,000!! Thanks to Inter Care’s supporters, the charity achieved it’s target to raise £4,000 to make the project happen.
The donation will be send to Holy Spirit Hospital in Makeni, Sierra Leone and will help to distribute the supplis to six other health units; four hospitals, two health centres and a hospice.
Two of these health units requested a “One Wish” and these were sent via this shipping container project.
Amongst these wishes, there are other items aboard such as basic first aid supplies, medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and stethoscopes, plus, uniforms, PPE and mobility aids.
