The Apostolic Nuncio to Great Britain, His Excellency Archbishop Miguel Maury Buendía presents an Apostolic Blessing to General Manager, Diane Hardy for Inter Care’s 50 years of Service.
On Tuesday 2nd July, Inter Care welcomed the Apostolic Nuncio (Pope Francis’ representative in the UK) to our site alongside his Secretary, Fr Andrew, Bishop Patrick McKinney, Bishop of the Nottingham Catholic Diocese and Fr Simon Gillespie, Secretary to the Bishop.
This visit has been one of His Exellency’s many events whilst he is in the midlands for 2 days. Bishop Patrick McKinney who is Inter Care’s Patron wanted to show the vital work we do following on from his trip to Tanzania with the team in 2022. During the visit, the team introduced the Apostolic Nuncio to a group of our warehouse volunteers and we gave a tour of the warehouse explaining the procedure and the importance of our volunteer’s support. After this, we came back to our office to talk about our future plans and the history of Inter Care’s 50 years of providing medical aid for Africa.
This was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our success over the years and we appreciate the recognition for our work.
