Rainbow Centre provides medicines to the orphans, vulnerable children and people living with HIV. Most of them are poor and are not able to pay for their basic needs including medicines.
One of the patients received medical support from Rainbow Centre is Adam. He is an orphan who lost his father in 2018 due HIV and AIDS. His mother is living with HIV. Adam was suffering from ear infection which caused by bacteria which cause ear pus for a long time. He received medical treatment from Rainbow Centre. He was provided with Amoxicillin caps for seven days and Paracetamol tabs for five days. He gets cured and able to continue with his studies where he performed well in his Form Six National Examination. Currently he is preparing to join University for further studies.
Adam is among orphans and vulnerable children supported by Rainbow Centre. He is facing many challenges as he has lost his father and his mother is sick so they have no income for their basic needs such as medical care, shelter, school fees, nutrition etc.
He came to us with complain of headache, ear disturbance and ache. He was examined by Otoscope and observed to have ear infection which presented by pus.
He was treated with Amoxicillin caps for seven days and Paracetamol tabs for five days.
The medicines from Inter Care were used to support orphans, old age and people living with HIV who cannot be able to pay for medical treatment. Rainbow Centre staff are happy because we are able to provide better services to our most destitute clients, with proper drugs and medical equipment such as Blood Pressure machine, Otoscope machine, blood glucose machine and Pulse Oximeter help us to check health of our clients and advise them accordingly.
