What information we collect, use, and why
We collect or use the following information for marketing purposes, to receive donations or funding and organise fundraising activities:
- Names and contact details
- Addresses
- Payment or banking details
- Donation history
- Taxpayer information (for Gift Aid purposes)
- Information about your activity online when you visit our website
We will use your data to process your requests, administer your donation (including processing gift aid), support your fundraising, support you as a volunteer and to provide you with more information about our work and activities.
Lawful bases and data protection rights

- Your right to erasure – You have the right to ask us to delete your personal information.

- Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you.

Our lawful bases for the collection and use of your data
Our lawful bases for collecting or using personal information for marketing purposes, to receive donations or funding and organise fundraising activities are:
· Consent – we have permission from you after we gave you all the relevant information. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to object. To be clear, you do have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
· Legitimate interests – we’re collecting or using your information because it benefits you, our organisation or someone else, without causing an undue risk of harm to anyone. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to portability. Our legitimate interests are:
o Inter Care may use collected data to supply you with further information about Inter Care and its services or to respond to a request for information or an enquiry. Where you have specifically agreed to this, Inter Care will send you communications by email relating to our work which we think may be of interest to you.
o Inter Care may collect information relating to any donations that you make. This information is necessary for us to process your donation and provide a confirmation message.
o Inter Care may also use collected information and statistics for the purposes of monitoring website usage and its services. You cannot be personally identified by this information.
o Inter Care will also use and analyse the information collected to administer, support, improve and develop our organisation.
o We will only use your data in a manner that is appropriate considering the basis on which that data was collected.

How long we keep information
Inter Care keeps information for as long as it is reasonable and necessary for the relevant purpose for which it was collected. Sometimes the length of time we keep information is dictated by statutory obligations e.g. in the case of Gift Aid collection.

- Organisations we’re legally obliged to share personal information with
- Publicly on our website, social media or other marketing and information media. In this case, your personal information will be shared only after we have obtained your consent.
