Why we need you to join the Advent Challenge
Inter Care’s mission is to ensure children across sub-Saharan Africa get the medical attention they need. Medical supplies are low in all the partner health units we support.
Malaria, Pneumonia and skin infections are on the rise and children are becoming sick. By joining the Advent Challenge you will help send antibiotics, bandages and PPE to rural hospitals and dispensaries in Malawi, Ghana, Tanzania and Sierra Leone.
The Advent Challenge supports children like Bobby
Bobby is a 6 month old child from Sierra Leone. He was taken to Bo Children’s Hospital by his mother. Bobby had a loss of muscle functions and he was very malnourished. After review, the nurses diagnosed the 6 month old with trauma and Acute Malaria.
Donations to Inter Care meant that Bobby could receive medicine and vitamins when he needed it the most.
By completing the Advent Challenge, you are supporting children like Bobby across sub-Saharan Africa.
Day of Arrival. Bobby was weak and couldn’t stand. 
On day 6 of receiving treatment at the hospital, Bobby could stand on his feet with little support from his mother. 
On day 14, Bobby was discharged after receiving medication from Inter Care. He is now a bright and healthy little boy.
